Abstract

This article aims to analyze, from the perspective of students some possible causes of school failure in students of the College of Barranquilla and the Caribbean. Colegio Mayor de Barranquilla y del Caribe. The research is framed in an descriptive cross secctional obserbational design, the study population consisted of 68 students in 11th grade. two surveys were applied one in order to identify causes of school failure designed by the Working Group with the support of teachers from the institution, And CHAEA for diagnosing the type of learning (developed by Honey and Mumford), the results observed in this study reported that the object of study highlights the attitude of teachers and the integration into the classroom as the main cause of dropout and predominance of pragmatic learning style students who do not have a profesional approach to future.
