Conceptual approach to the development of multiple intelligences of children in their first school years

Abstract

The objective of this work is to describe the conceptual approach to the development of the multiple intelligences of children in their first school years, in Santa Marta Colombia. The applied methodology includes a documental research, taking the theoretical criteria exposed by: Calzadilla (2005), Díaz and Hernández (2010), Gardner (1883), Linares (2011), Ortíz (2005), Rodríguez ), among others. The central points were the constructivist didactics as a basis for the development of multiple intelligences, the pedagogical approach of multiple intelligences and the ways to construct knowledge under the multiple intelligences approach. The conclusion is that multiple intelligences approach human intelligence from a broad perspective that includes a set of capacities, talents, skills, which expresses the sociocultural, biological and environmental origin, as well as the existence of different inclinations in the human being.
