Indicators for the development of environmental education for the sustainable development of the municipality of Magdalena Bank- Colombia

Abstract

The general purpose of this research is to analyze the development indicators of Environmental Education for the sustainable development of the municipality of El Banco, Magdalena, Colombia. It is also part of a process of evaluation of the situation of this discipline in different areas, based on the theoretical postulates of Caride and Meira (1997). Castro, (2008), Molero (2000), among others; From the qualitative post positivist point of view, the research is developed with the hermeneutic phenomenological method as well as a bibliographic design. The information was collected through the techniques of documentary observation, direct observation and qualitative interviews. For the purposes of the sample were taken six (6) subjects, conformed from institutions I.E.D. Arcesio Cáliz Amador, I.E.D. Lorencita Villegas de Santos, I.E.D. Benito Barros Palomino and I.E.D. St. Teresa of Jesus. The reliability of this population is relative, just as ethics will be applied as a prevailing condition. On the other hand to finish after analyzing all the categories it is evident that it is possible to think that part of the solution of the problematic that is presented at environmental level, is in the knowledge, from the point of view that the understanding of the natural processes that are Changing and feasible solutions, would be incomplete if awareness and awareness are considered, these will become the engine that is needed to generate profound changes. As in some other parts of the world, we are still in the principles of design, construction, implementation and evaluation of environmental indicators and sustainable development, while recognizing the need to advance, in a cooperative and horizontal way, in development Of the third generation in the third millennium.
